¿Hay alguna forma mejor de terminar la semana que con un regalo? 

Esto fue lo que encontré en mi buzón cuando lo abrí el viernes pasado al llegar a casa después del trabajo:

Seguro que a más de un@ el estilo le suena: Ishtar Olivera. La verdad es que la washi tape anima todo lo que toca. Claro que depende del gusto de la persona que la use.  En el caso de Ishtar ya sabemos que buen gusto no le falta así que el resultado es siempre bueno.

Mi primera intención fue abrirlo inmediatamente pero ah, no, las fotos siempre son lo primero. Así que me contuve y me puse a fotografiarlo todo. No quería perder detalle.

Bien envuelto por fuera y por dentro. Me encanta el color morado, da igual en qué tonalidad, me gustan todos. Acertó hasta en el envoltorio interior. Venía con una nota y unas palabras de la autora. Completo en todos los detalles y muy personalizado.

Color y más color. Color por todas partes. Ese toque de washi tape fucsia (neón) es irresistible.

Un soporte ricamente decorado para un gato muy coqueto:

Me encantan los gatos. Fue un acierto detrás de otro:

Me lo puse enseguida. Ya no tenía razón para esperar más. Es totalmente ishtar.

Me viene genial porque tengo prendas de ese color azul y tenía ganas de un broche con ese tono. 

Aunque uso collares, pendientes, pulseras o anillos que coordinen con lo que llevo me gusta también llevar broches. Me gusta la simplicidad y generalmente los broches reúnen dos condiciones  importantes: dan un aspecto sencillo y vistosidad.  Son una alternativa a los complementos de siempre y consiguen alegrar notablemente un atuendo con tan solo una pieza. Y ya si son artesanales mucho mejor. 

Muchas gracias, Ishtar, me ha hecho mucha ilusión. Ya me lo he puesto un montón y me encanta.

Is there a better way to finish the week than with a gift?

This was what I found in my mailbox when I opened it on last Friday, when I get home after work:

Certainly several people know the style of this craft: Ishtar Olivera. Washi tape really brighten up all that it touches. It on depends the taste of the user. We know Ishtar has good taste then the result is always good.

My first impulse was to open quickly the package, but no, no, no, photos are always first. So I held back and began to photograph everything. I didn't want to lose any detail.

The gift was well wrapped both on the outside and the inside. I love purple color, I dont' mind the shade, I like them all. She hit up in the inner package. It came with a note, some words from her. It was complete in all details and highly customized.

Color and more color. Color everywhere. That touch of fuchsia (neon) washi tape is irresistible.

I love cats. It was a hit after another.

I wore it inmediately. There was no reason to wait. It is totally ishtar.

It's great because I wear clothes in that color and I missed a pin in blue.

I usually wear necklaces, earrings, bracelets or rings coordinated with my clothes but I like using brooches too. I like simplicity and brooches usually meet two important conditions: they provide a simply and striking appearance. They are an alternative to the usual accessories and they get significantly brigthen up an outfit with just one piece. And if they are handmade much better.

Thank you very much, Ishtar, it has made me happy. I've already put on me a lot and I love it.

Promo de bolso+pin

Hoy voy a hablar del blog de otra persona. Es un blog que he descubierto hace tiempo y cuando empecé a leer las entradas no pude dejarlo hasta que lo leí entero.

Es un blog muy diverso pero que en esencia muestra los trabajos artesanales de Ishtar Olivera, su creadora. Desde sellos, bolsos e ilustraciones a tutoriales, consejos, fotografía e inspiraciones varias y todo con ese toque de luz especial que podría decirse que es la luz Ishtar.

Me gusta porque la autora tiene estilo propio, eso que con el tiempo se acaba diciendo que "tiene el sello" de la persona, algo que me parece bastante dificil de lograr. Es cierto que el mundo blog ha dado la oportunidad a muchas personas a mostrar sus talentos y creatividades pero también es cierto que entre tantas opciones la singularidad es un terreno arduo de conquistar. Tener tu toque personal no es fácil.

El estilo, a medio camino entre lo näif y lo natural si hubiera que definirlo de alguna forma -aunque no soy partidaria de definir nada demasiado-, da un resultado entrañable y atractivo a sus diseños y trabajos.

Today I will talk about someone else's blog. It's a blog that I discovered a long time ago and when I started reading the entries I could not stop until I read it over.

This blog is very diverse but in essence it shows Ishtar Olivera's crafts, her creator. From stamps, bags and illustrations to tutorials, tips, photography and several inspirations and all of them with that special highlight that's arguably the Ishtar's light.

I like it because the authoress has his own style, so that over time people say "has the hallmarks"of the person, something I think is quite difficult to achieve. It's true that the world's blog has given to many people the opportunity to showcase their talents and creative but it is also true that among the many choices the singularity is a difficult terrain to conquer. Having your personal touch is not easy.

The style, halfway between naïve and natural -if I had to define it in some way, although I am not in favor of defining anything too-, gives an attractive and endearing design to her work.

 
And to top it off this month's promotion in her Etsy store: For the purchase of a bag of Bunnies in nature, she gives a  pin of Happy cat.
