August is...small ~ Agosto es...pequeño

August is small. It's the month when summer reach its zenith. It's the typical month for summer holidays, at least in this hemisphere in the planet.

The world slow down. We listen attentively to the silence and we begin to listen to other voices, other pulses. We look down and discover a litte big world surrounding us

Por ello es que...
Because of it...

...nos deleitamos en saborear lo sencillo,
...we are revelling in simply things,

vemos las cosas desde otra perspectiva,
we look at things from other perspective,

magic comes true and we pursue the moon that hide naughty from us,

arrancamos hacia la aventura, hacia cualquier aventura,
we start the adventure, to any adventure,

we find the right signals the fifth day,

todo brilla de un modo pometedor,
all around shine in a promising way,

happiness is an everyday feeling that we love to share,

hacemos nuestro hogar allí donde vamos,
we set up our home where we go,

nos vaciamos por dentro,
we empty ourselves,

letting the beauty fills everything, where it be,

we become aware of our small but importante rol in life, in our own lifes,

we imagine how would be beyond the horizon,

exploramos rutas secretas,
we explore secret routes,

we look at ourselves through own ancestors and we appreciate what we received from them,

we sit for merging into our surroundings,

descubrimos otros sabores, otras maneras,
we finds other tastes, other ways,

inventamos rituales nuevos,
we invent new rituals,

observamos con más detenimiento,
we observe carefully,

ponemos buena cara a cualquier día,
we look well for every day,

we could float over the ground if we propose us,

for not breaking the perfect calm of nature,

for feeding from she generously gives us,

or for playing with draughts and diving suddenly in the water without a previous plan,

we discover the time of things; if you listen attentively everything has its time,

we know life is breathing at all levels.

It's just necessary you stand there for contemplating it.

Remembering holidays

It's November and when I see holiday's photos I find amazing how quickly time passes. This is not something new because every year the feeling persists, especially in autumn and spring when nature and environment tell us that something else is starting.I look at the photos and I remember:
gondola's rides in Portugal,

landscapes where the eye can see far away in Madrid,

a blue flower in the backyard,

some unusual vintage hydrangea across the courtyard,

lazy naps carefree,

walks by the seashore in Lugo,

relaxing watching the tide and let the mind find its rythm itself,

watching sunset in Orense,

feeling the warm sand between your feet in Portugal,

making recreational plans for the next day,

snorkeling for the first time.

I think part of the secret of the holidays is to regain sensations.People who live in big cities usually use the senses in the background, in "survival mode", always paying attention to something else: TV, music, cold or heat, that we change with the heating or air conditioning; rain, we avoid it with the umbrella; we live a little off our physical body. Sometimes the connection is also broken by lack of enough time to experience the feelings we have at hand.I had never done snorkeling before and this summer was the first time. First impressions were disconcerting but later became one of the favorite activities (I'd say THE preferred activity); yet I still remember those evenings like a dream.I think is needed essential for us  to do things for the first time, nice, I mean, and healthy, if it's  possible. This will keep alive the illusion and the ability to surprise in ourselves, making us flexible and tolerant.

Children are in constant touch with their feelings because they are discovering the world and it is infinite
at their age, permanent filled of surprises, indomitable, a challenge, a place where there is much to conquer, to improve, to share, to enjoy .
I like to keep the child alive in me.
