Cuenta la historia de cómo se entrecruzan las vidas de un aristócrata tetrapléjico y un ex-convicto.
The movie tell us how lifes of a quadriplegic aristocrat and an ex convict connect to each one.
Philippe a consecuencia de un accidente haciendo parapente ha quedado confinado a una silla de ruedas y necesita un asistente personal. Driss ha salido recientemente de la cárcel y debe acudir a las entrevistas de trabajo que le ofrecen para poder cobrar el paro.
Philippe because a paragliding accident is now confined to a wheelchair and he needs a personal assistant. Driss was recently released from jail and he must go to job interviews to claim unemployement benefit.
Son personas totalmente opuestas que al principio de la película entiendes que se necesitan y que a medida que transcurre la historia comprendes que tenían que encontrarse.
They are completely opposite people and at the begining of the film you understand they need each other but as the story goes you deeply understand that they must find themselves each other.
Ambos actores realizan un trabajo fantástico. Están contenidos, despliegan el personaje en los momentos en que es necesario y resultan tan realistas que logran que te pongas a su nivel, compartas sus vivencias y te sientas un personaje más en la película.
Both actors do an excellent work. They are self-controled, they display the character when is necessary and they are so realist that you put yourself at their level, sharing them their experiences and you feel like other character into the film.
Driss es una inyección de vitalidad, de buen rollo, de entusiasmo, de naturalidad y representa la visión del vaso lleno del todo. Driss es la persona que siempre querrías tener a tu lado, en los momentos buenos y en los malos. Tiene una presencia física impresionante e incluso en los planos cortos casi no hace falta nada más para que "hable" su personaje. Me encantaría hacerle una sesión de fotos :)
Mención especial al director de fotografía: Mathieu Vadepied. Esta película no sería la misma sin el hábil uso de la misma.
Driss is a boost of vitality, of good cheer, of enthusiams, of naturalness and he is the vision of the cup full. Driss is the person you ever would like with you, in good and bad moments. He has an awesome physical presence and even in close-up nothing is needed to his character "to speak". I'd love to do him a photo shoot :)
Special mention for the photography director: Mathieu Vadepied. This film wouldn't be the same without the skillfull use of it.

Philippe es una persona con una situación económica más que desahogada (entrar en su casa es un viaje directo a la Francia clásica) pero vive tan anclado a sus recuerdos, a su pasado, a la vida que ha perdido y a su nostalgia (yo diría depresión) como lo está físicamente a la silla de ruedas.
Tienen vidas diametralmente opuestas pero hay paralelismos entre los dos.
Philippe is a person with an economic situation more than well (entering in his house is a direct trip to the classic France) but he lives so anchored to his memories, to his past, to his missed life and his nostalgia (I would say depression) as he is physically anchored to his wheelchair.
They have diametrically opposited lifes but there are parallelisms between them.
Desde luego no pude evitar pensar que debe de ser horrible vivir atrapado en tu propio cuerpo. Cuánta falta hace tener y estar rodeado de una actitud muy positiva y personas como Driss son realmente necesarias.
Pero también hay que tener en cuenta que disponer de los medios económicos de Philippe, hacen tu vida bastante más fácil y te permiten escapar de tu situación a lo grande cuando la presión es excesiva. Qué distinto debe de ser que tenga que cuidarte un familiar en dedicación exclusiva y con unos medios mucho más limitados.
Of course I didn't avoid thinking what terrible is living caught in your own body. How much positive attitude you must have by yourself and around you. And people as Driss are really necessary.
But it has to bear in mind that having resources as Philippe makes life easiest and allows you to run out away from your situation when pression is too high. What diferent will be you depend on the careness of a member or your family dedicated to you and with limited resources.
Es una película divertida, sorprendente, emotiva que maneja tus emociones al ritmo de la historia y que te deja con ganas de más. Y que encima cuenta una historia real.
It's a funny, amazing and emotional film that manage your emotions to the rithm of the story and leaves you wanting more. And it's a true story.
