Bohème Atelier tiene su refugio inspirador a mediados del siglo XIX, en los ambientes artísticos e intelectuales del París de la época.
Bohème Atelier has its inspiring refuge at the middle of 19th century in artistic and intellectual atmohsphere of the Paris at that time.

A Bohème Atelier, y concretamente a mí, nos gusta ese aire semidecandente, esa idea de vivir el momento, que primara lo estético, la inspiración, el arte, que en la cotidianeidad hubiera un planteamiento funcional, vivir con poco, a veces con tan poco que más bien era sobrevivir, atesorar las experiencias y no las cosas, crear, producir, no ponerse límites, desprenderse de lo material, dejar que el mundo entrara por los ojos, por los oídos, por los sentidos en definitiva, experimentar.

Bohème Atelier, and specifically me, like that halfdecadent ambient, that idea about living the moment, priority for the aesthetic, inspiration, art, functional approaches in the daily life, living with few things, sometimes were so few things that it means surviving, accumulating experiences not material things, creating, producing, no limits, getting ride of those material things, leaving the world come in oneself through the eyes, the ears, through senses, to experiment.

Pintores y escritores y otros "entes" artísticos hicieron del barrio de Montmartre y Montparnasse, en momentos distintos, su lugar de residencia, alquilando cuartuchos baratos, malvendiendo sus obras por unos cuantos francos y dedicándose a relacionarse entre ellos, a fundirse en la noche y en sus entretenimientos mal vistos por la burguesía francesa, rebelándose contra ella.

Fue un momento muy creativo, donde grandes mentes de diferentes disciplinas acudían allí a vivir la experiencia bohemia y a impregnarse de un movimiento algo caótico pero sumamente enriquecedor.

Painters and writers and other artistic "entities" converted Montmartre and Montparnasse's neighborhood, at different moments, in the normal place of their residence, renting cheap holes, bad-selling their works of art by a few francs, being connected between themselves, merging with the night and her entertainments that were not considered correct by french bourgeoisie, rebelling against it.
It was a very creative time, when great minds from several disciplines went there to live the bohemian experience and to became impegnate with a chaotic movement but extremely enriching.

Cierro los ojos y me traslado allí, sentada en una mesita al aire libre, en la terraza del Moulin Rouge, una tarde de primavera, tomándome a sorbitos pequeños una copa del líquido ahora blancuzco de la absenta, oyendo los sonidos que me llegan de la orquesta, oliendo el tabaco del caballero con chistera de la mesa de atrás, que mueve impaciente entre los dedos una moneda, atento al escenario...Quizás espere a que salga su bailarina favorita...Oigo el murmullo de conversaciones femeninas y una brisa perfumada de lilas llena mi nariz mientras me dejo llevar por la promesa de una noche de espectáculo y frenesí.

I close my eyes and move myself there, sitting down at a little table, outdoors, in the Moulin Rouge's terrace, an spring evening, taking with little sips a glass of the pale white liquid at this time is the absinthe, listening the sounds from the orchestra, smelling the man in a top hat's tobacco in the table behind me, who was moving impatiently a coin between his fingers, attentive to the stage...Perhaps he's waiting his favorite dancer...I'm listening the murmur of feminine conversations and a scented breeze of lilacs fills my nose while I let myself go by the promise of a night fulled of spectacle and frenzy

Al principio de la entrada he incluido un tema del cantante francés Charles Aznavour, La boheme, para poner un poco de ambiente.

Su letra resume muy bien el espíritu de la época a pesar de que la canción es muy posterior. Os dejo la cancion en francés y traducida a español

Marie Antoinette

Después de unas semanas desactualizada LPECADMS vuelve a ponerse al día. Las vacaciones, los problemas de conexión en las vacaciones y algunos agradables imprevistos han ido concatenándose para que hasta el día de hoy las florecillas se tuvieran que coger la pamela, las gafas de sol, reservar una tumbona y pedir mojitos y daiquiris para que el paso del tiempo fuera más llevadero.

La entrada de hoy estaba pensada para ser subida a finales de julio pero oh, maravilla de las maravillas, se confirmaron las vacaciones y oh, remaravilla de las remaravillas, uno de los destinos iba a ser París. Con semejante plan no era cuestión de impacientarse y estaba más que justificado esperar a la vuelta del tan ansiado viaje para tener un contexto mucho más sensorial del tema, si no para la entrada al menos sí para mi. Y bueno, ya sabéis, LPECADMS no es The Little and Natty Workshop of Momo San, precisamente. No estaría mal pero LPECADMS es LPECADMS y París bien valía una "entrada" (o un post).

Espero que la florecilla que aguarda impaciente a que suba su foto -y l@s lector@s- no se tomen a mal que hoy la entrada sea casi una mini lección de historia, lo que la va a hacer más extensa de lo normal. Por otra parte nuestra protagonista va a poder verse rodeada de todo el lujo, el glamour y la realeza de la corte francesa. Sin más dilación comienza el tema que nos ocupa.

En casi todos los complementos artesanales no puede faltar uno bautizado con el nombre de María Antonieta. En LPECADMS también queremos rendirle homenaje a esta ilustre figura y por ello hoy protagoniza el desfile la florecilla

¿Pero qué tiene este personaje histórico que resulta tan fascinante?

Un poquito de historia puede darnos algunas pistas.

María Antonieta era de origen austríaco, descendiente de un extenso linaje real. Fue educada para contraer matrimonio y servir de alianza entre Francia y Austria y su vida en la corte francesa estuvo plagada de contratiempos.

Sus inicios en el nuevo país no fueron fáciles y tardó bastante tiempo en integrarse, algo que también sucedió en su vida personal, pero supo crear su propio espacio.

Quizá gran parte de su atractivo sea su actitud independiente y algo abstraída de las obligaciones en la corte. O su gusto por disfrutar de los placeres de la vida en un entorno impuesto por los intereses políticos.
En un esbozo de la actitud de la mujer occidental del siglo XXI desafió a su modo los convencionalismos de su época y trató de elegir por sí misma un estilo de vida acorde a sus gustos, aprovechando el lado positivo de una situación que por otra parte aceptó como su destino.


Puede que el final trágico y las sucesivas traiciones, incluidas las de sus hijos, a los que supo perdonar a pesar de todo, la doten del requisito indispensable para convertirse en un icono de su tiempo.

Entre práctica y revolucionaria, esta mujer dejó su familia, sus raíces y su cómoda vida en Austria para acompañar a un desconocido a realizar su viaje personal y a acometer la tarea de ser soberano del país galo; quizás el hecho de que fuera tan joven es lo que nos provoca cierto sentimiento protector.


Si os interesa este personaje probablemente os gustará ver la película de su mismo nombre, dirigida por Sofía Coppola e interpretada por Kirsten Dunst. Con su personal visión de la naturaleza humana femenina Sofía Coppola nos muestra una María Antonieta frágil pero fuerte, evasiva; un poco infantil en su búsqueda de la felicidad en un entorno que prácticamente parece hostil,  una superviviente original y muchas veces excéntrica en un mundo al que no se adapta y del que acaba convirtiendose en víctima aunque repleta de fortaleza y de una madurez casi inesperada a lo largo de la película.

La verdad es que nuestra florecilla de LPECADMS no necesita tantos recursos ni lleva una vida tan agitada.
Le petite fleur Marie Antoniette se muestra delicada, elegante, imponente desde su reducido tamaño y seductora a pesar de su aspecto engañosamente discreto.
Es una flor elaborada en raso blanco sobre alfiler de acero y engalanada con cinta de organza en color celeste, lo que le da una apariencia etérea a pesar de la robustez de su confección.


Quedará perfecta en las solapas de las invitadas, que podrán ser un poquito princesas, y constituye una forma nueva de adelantar "algo azul" a las futuras novias-invitadas solteras si tienen suerte y pierden el alfiler. Si es así puede que tus invitadas hasta entonces sin pareja, también acaben "perdiendo la cabeza" pero en un sentido totalmente metafórico y sublime -y mucho más agradable- que el de nuestra desafortunada protagonista del pasado.  

After a few weeks outdated LPECADMS is back and catches up. Holidays, connection problems and some nice unexpected contingencies have been concatenated to that until this day the flowers will have to take the hat, sunglasses, reserve a deck chair and ask for mojitos and daikiris for spending time better.

Today's entry was designed to be raised in late July but oh, wonder of wonders, holidays were confirmed and oh, re-wonders of re-wonders, a destination would be Paris. With such a plan was not a question to be impatient and was more than justified to wait for the return of that long-awatied trip to take a much more sensory issue, if not for the entry then at least for me. Well, you know, LPECADMS isn't The Little and Natty Workshop of Momo San precisely. It would be nice but LPECADMS is LPECADMS and Paris "is well worth a post".

I hope the little flower who were impatient to upload her picture -and readers- will not take bad that today's entry is almost a mini history lesson, which is going to be more extensive than normal. On the other hand our protagonist will be able to see herself surrounded by every luxury, glamour and the royalty of the French court. Without delay it begins the topic at hand.


In almost all add-ons cannot miss a craft named Marie Antoinette. In LPECADMS also want to pay tribute to this illustrious figure and why today stars in the parade the flower named

A bit of history can give us some clues.

Marie Antoinette was of Austrian origin, descended from a long royal lineage. She was educated for marriage and serving alliance between France and Austria, but her life at the French court was plagued by setbacks.

Her beginnings in the new country were not easy and took her some time to integrate, also in her personal life, but she created her own space.

Maybe much of her attraction is her independent attitude and somewhat abstracted from the obligations in court. Or her like to enjoy the pleasures of living in an environment imposed by political interests.
In an outline of the attitude of the XXI century woman challenged the way of the conventions of her time and tried to choose for herself a way of life according to her tastes, capitalizing on the positive side of a situation, anyway she agreed as her destination.


Perhaps the tragic end and the successive betrayals, including her children, who knew how to forgive in spite of all, equip the prerequisite to become an icon of her time.

Among practical and revolutionary, this woman left her family, her roots and her comfortable life in Austria to go with a stranger to make his personal journey and undertake the task of become the king of the Gallic country; perhaps the fact of her youth provokes us a certain feeling protective.

If you are interested in this character probably you will like watching the movie of the same name, directed by Sofía Coppola and starring Kirsten Dunst. With her personal vision of female human nature Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette shows us a fragile but strong Marie Antoinette, elusive, a bit childish in her searching for happiness into a hostile environment, a surviving original and often eccentric in a world that does not fit and just becoming a victim but full of strength and maturity unexpected along the film.

Really our little flower of LPECADMS neither need both resources nor leads a hectic way of life.

Le petite fleur Marie Antoinette shows delicate, elegant, imposing from its small size and attractive appearance despite its deceptively quiet.

It is a flower manufactured on white satin on top of steel pin and decorated with organza ribbon in light blue, which gives an ethereal appearance despite the robustness of its construction.

It's perfect on the lapels of the guests, who may be a little princess, and is a new way forward "something blue" for future brides-single guests if they are lucky and lose the pin! If so your guests may even "lose their heads" but in an entirely metaphorical and sublime way, and much nicer-than our unfortunate hero of the past.
