Midnight in Paris

He visto Midnight in Paris. Me esperaba una película totalmente diferente sin saber qué era lo que esperaba en realidad. Me ha encantado. Desde la sencillez de este espacio yo creo que perfectamente podría haberse titulado Midnight in Bohème Atelier y no profundizo en el porqué para no adelantar la historia si queréis verla.

I've watched Midnight in Paris. I expected a different film but I didn't know what I was really expecting. I'm delighted to watch it. From the simplicity of this place I think the film could perfectly be named Midnight in Bohème Atelier and I don't deal with the reason in depth for no spoiling the film if you want to watch it.

Woody Allen me cae bien, me parece un tipo simpático, con mucho talento aunque no todas sus películas me gusten. Sin embargo las que me gustan me gustan mucho, como es el caso de Misterioso asesinato en Manhattan. Últimamente la echan mucho en un canal de cine de televisión y la puedo ver una y otra vez aunque no hace falta que sea de principio a fin. Me seduce muchísimo el ambiente de la película y me apetece un montón estar allí, con los protagonistas, compartiendo una cena con ellos en uno de los restaurantes que frecuentan, a altas horas de la noche, conversando apasionadamente sobre lo que sea. 

Woody Allen really likes me, I think he's a nice guy, with very much talent in spite of I don't like all his movies. However the films like me they like me very much, as Manhattan Murder Mystery.  Recently it watched into a cinema channel of tv and I can watch it once and again but it's not necessary been watched by me from the begining to the end. The atmosphere of the film captivates me a lot and I would be there, with protagonists, sharing a dinner with them in one of those restaurants, at late hours, talking passionately about anything.

Es una de las cualidades que tiene el cine de Woody Allen, que convierte la ciudad en la que sitúa la historia en una protagonista más. Así lo percibí en Midnight in Paris, en los primeros minutos, con esas imágenes de la ciudad de la luz. Es como si estuviera volviendo a ver París a través de mis propios ojos. 

One of Woody Allen movie's qualities is became the city where story develops in other protagonist of it. This way I noticed with Midnight in Paris, at first minutes, with those images about the city of light. It's like I was seeing Paris through my own eyes.

No voy a contar la película pero tengo que decir que los actores han llevado muy bien el ritmo y tono de la misma, todo fluye de un modo que solo tienes que dejarte llevar por la historia que inevitablemente lleva a donde lleva, algo que se intuye al principio y se va confirmando según pasa el tiempo. 

I'm not tell you the film but I have to say how fine actors and actresses executed their roles in agreement with the rithm and mood of it, everything flows in a way that you have only to let go yourself by the story, which goes where it goes, something that is sensed from the beginig and it's confirmed as time passes.

Rachel McAdams está odiosa y en ello se ve su gran interpretación. Owen Wilson me recuerda mucho al propio Woody Allen actor, resulta entrañable y no puedes dejar de simpatizar con él.
Rachel McAdams is hateful and this is the key of her great interpretation. Owen Wilson really seems Woody Allen's actor, he is very pleasant and you can't avoid get on him.

Es una película llena de gratas sorpresas, imaginación, sensibilidad e incluso con sitio para una última reflexión final muy interesante.
It's a film full of pleasant surprises, imagination, sensitivity and even with a place for a final reflexion very interesting

Se nota que Woody Allen ama París. Ahora me siento extrañamente conectada a Woody Allen, sé que ambos la vemos con el mismo cariño y de un modo muy similar.
It's obvious that Woody Allen loves Paris. Now I feel strangely connected to him, I know we both look at it with the same affection and in a similar way.

La bohemia ~ La boheme

Bohème Atelier tiene su refugio inspirador a mediados del siglo XIX, en los ambientes artísticos e intelectuales del París de la época.
Bohème Atelier has its inspiring refuge at the middle of 19th century in artistic and intellectual atmohsphere of the Paris at that time.

A Bohème Atelier, y concretamente a mí, nos gusta ese aire semidecandente, esa idea de vivir el momento, que primara lo estético, la inspiración, el arte, que en la cotidianeidad hubiera un planteamiento funcional, vivir con poco, a veces con tan poco que más bien era sobrevivir, atesorar las experiencias y no las cosas, crear, producir, no ponerse límites, desprenderse de lo material, dejar que el mundo entrara por los ojos, por los oídos, por los sentidos en definitiva, experimentar.

Bohème Atelier, and specifically me, like that halfdecadent ambient, that idea about living the moment, priority for the aesthetic, inspiration, art, functional approaches in the daily life, living with few things, sometimes were so few things that it means surviving, accumulating experiences not material things, creating, producing, no limits, getting ride of those material things, leaving the world come in oneself through the eyes, the ears, through senses, to experiment.

Pintores y escritores y otros "entes" artísticos hicieron del barrio de Montmartre y Montparnasse, en momentos distintos, su lugar de residencia, alquilando cuartuchos baratos, malvendiendo sus obras por unos cuantos francos y dedicándose a relacionarse entre ellos, a fundirse en la noche y en sus entretenimientos mal vistos por la burguesía francesa, rebelándose contra ella.

Fue un momento muy creativo, donde grandes mentes de diferentes disciplinas acudían allí a vivir la experiencia bohemia y a impregnarse de un movimiento algo caótico pero sumamente enriquecedor.

Painters and writers and other artistic "entities" converted Montmartre and Montparnasse's neighborhood, at different moments, in the normal place of their residence, renting cheap holes, bad-selling their works of art by a few francs, being connected between themselves, merging with the night and her entertainments that were not considered correct by french bourgeoisie, rebelling against it.
It was a very creative time, when great minds from several disciplines went there to live the bohemian experience and to became impegnate with a chaotic movement but extremely enriching.

Cierro los ojos y me traslado allí, sentada en una mesita al aire libre, en la terraza del Moulin Rouge, una tarde de primavera, tomándome a sorbitos pequeños una copa del líquido ahora blancuzco de la absenta, oyendo los sonidos que me llegan de la orquesta, oliendo el tabaco del caballero con chistera de la mesa de atrás, que mueve impaciente entre los dedos una moneda, atento al escenario...Quizás espere a que salga su bailarina favorita...Oigo el murmullo de conversaciones femeninas y una brisa perfumada de lilas llena mi nariz mientras me dejo llevar por la promesa de una noche de espectáculo y frenesí.

I close my eyes and move myself there, sitting down at a little table, outdoors, in the Moulin Rouge's terrace, an spring evening, taking with little sips a glass of the pale white liquid at this time is the absinthe, listening the sounds from the orchestra, smelling the man in a top hat's tobacco in the table behind me, who was moving impatiently a coin between his fingers, attentive to the stage...Perhaps he's waiting his favorite dancer...I'm listening the murmur of feminine conversations and a scented breeze of lilacs fills my nose while I let myself go by the promise of a night fulled of spectacle and frenzy
